Astria Marbury was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. She holds a BA degree in Business Administration and has over 18 years of experience working in higher education. During her time as an undergraduate student, she worked as a financial aid trainer which is where she developed her passion for working with students. She has served as a Finance Director & Registrar at several colleges and aided in the areas of office management and operations review for financial aid offices. Her higher education career thus far includes mentoring, academic and financial advising as well as management and financial wellness.
She is passionate about working with students & their families to discuss how to finance their educational goals by assisting them with the financial aid process. When she is not spending time helping students, she enjoys spending time with her two sons and friends. Also, she loves listening to music, reading and volunteering at her church working with young adults.
