Funeral Director and Embalmer

Funeral Director and Embalmer needed! We are an independently owned funeral home and crematory seeking a licensed candidate to join our team. We are a small firm that offers a good work-life balance for our employees. The position requires a shared on-call rotation of evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Ability to serve multiple families at once, stay organized and pay attention to details
• Responsible for alternating on-call schedules and removals from homes, hospitals, or other facilities
• As an embalmer, you are responsible for preparing the deceased in an efficient and timely manner
• Maintain the prep and dressing rooms, and comply with all state and federal safety and health regulations
• Must be able to pay attention to detail when filing the necessary paperwork for agencies
• Prepare the deceased for cremation and operate the crematory
• Must demonstrate good communication skills
• Maintain a positive work environment while working with families, coworkers, management and funeral assistants
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ability to be trained in funeral industry software
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Help maintain the facilities and vehicles as needed
