Medical Examiner Transport Crew

On March 01, 2020 The UNT Health Science Center Willed Body Program will be taking over the transports for the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office. We are currently seeking removal staff to fill these positions. Removal staff will be housed out of the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office at 2355 N Stemmons Frwy, Dallas TX 75207.

We are currently hiring part time and full time staff for these positions. We are hiring for 2nd and 3rd shift during the week and 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift on weekends. Part time is up to 20 hours a week to start out. However, we are flexible with our schedule so staff can work as little as one day a week if desired. Starting pay for this position is $13.00 an hour. Fulltime positions include benefits. Night shift receives differential pay.

Removal staff are responsible for the removal of the deceased from the place of death and transport to the medical examiner’s office for examination. Staff will work with the medical examiner agents to bag evidence for transport, ID tag the deceased, bag property and assist with photographs of crime scenes. No prior removal experience is required.

Applicants must have a clear driving record, no felony convictions and must be able to pass a drug test. Applicants must be able to lift, push, pull and carry large amounts of weight for these removals.
