Job Description
- Assisting families with planning meaningful funeral/memorial services and following through to be sure all details are planned. This includes contacting ministers, churches, cemeteries, military honors, fraternal organizations, newspaper notices, police escorts, etc. Also responsible for obtaining information for all legal documents. Assisting families with pre-planning.
- Directing and overseeing funeral/memorial services.
- Preparation Room responsibilities will include embalming, dressing, preparing deceased for viewing, burial, or cremation, and casketing of deceased.
- Responsible for setting up equipment for funeral/memorial service including, chapel, church, graveside, etc.
- Make removals and work on-call schedule including rotating nights and weekends.
- Willing to be a part of community and be involved with civic organizations or any interest candidate may have.
- Georgia Funeral Director and Embalmer license or able to obtain.
- Proficiency in overall computer skills such as Word, Excel, etc. and funeral related software used for case files, accounting, and video production.
- Valid Georgia driver’s license.
- Must pass background check and drug test.
- Must be willing to work with team-oriented staff.

- Get to live in a city with a vibrant downtown with lots of great restaurants and shopping and is considered a destination city by many. Laid back lifestyle but with larger city amenities and outdoor activities. Only 40-minute drive to Tallahassee, Fl. and less than 2-hour drive to nearest beach on the Gulf of Mexico.
