Position Summary
Legacy Funeral Group is seeking a licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer at our location in Baton Rouge, to care for the deceased with dignity and respect while supporting families with compassion and professionalism. This role includes arranging and conducting funeral services, embalming and preparation of the deceased, removals and transfers, and meeting with families to plan meaningful services.

Key Responsibilities
- Meet with families to educate, listen, and arrange personalized funeral services.
- Embalm, dress, cosmetize, casket, and prepare the deceased (per licensing requirements).
- Coordinate removals and transfers in rotation/on-call as needed.
- Conduct and attend funeral services regularly.
- Complete paperwork (permits, certificates, records) in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Ensure client families are presented with all service and merchandise options.
- Participate in community outreach and events as assigned.
- Perform additional tasks such as vehicle care, facility upkeep, or pre-need arrangements.
- Supervise and manage daily operations and staff performance at the location.
