Jari Weiland has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Florida Gulf Coast University and Masters degree in nursing education from Florida State University. She has been a nurse since 2003, and a professor for more than 15 years working in the Surgical Progressive Care unit since graduating. In 2006 she received the PCCN certification and is now working as Utilization Review Case Manager at a local hospital in Fort Myers. She also has certification as a CMCN (Certified Managed Care Nursing). She says, “I am able to teach both online and in-class for biology and microbiology at the community college here in Fort Myers because I also have my Bachelors and Master Degree in Biology & Microbiology from Pittsburg, Kansas. My husband and I live in Cape Coral, Fl with three Chihuahuas. I enjoy swimming, riding a motorcycle and biking in this warm weather. Jari teaches Microbiology for Dallas Institute.
