Amy I. Poole was born and raised in Palestine, Texas, a small East Texas town. That small town is where she learned the true capacity of what serving her community meant and started the ball rolling on becoming a professional in this industry. She served in the United States Air Force from 2004 through 2009 where she was stationed in Germany, Nicaragua and Korea as a civil engineer, specializing in water systems. During her time in the service she graduated from the Community College of the Air Force in 2009 with an Associate in Environmental Systems Technology. After separating from the military in 2009, she enrolled in the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service, where she graduated in 2011 with an Associate of Applied Science in Funeral Service. She is currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Science program at National American University in Dallas.

Amy started and completed her Embalming and Funeral Directing apprenticeships at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. After becoming licensed as an Embalmer/Funeral Director and becoming a certified Crematory Operator, she worked as a contract embalmer for Metroplex Embalming LLC. for a short time before returning to Restland Funeral Home.

 Amy was offered the position as the Clinical Embalming Preceptor for the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in September of 2015. She is a member of the Red Cross, Women in Black, Dallas County Funeral Directors Association, the North Texas Funeral Directors Association, Texas Funeral Directors Association, the National Funeral Directors Association, American Legion, North Texas Corgi Group and is the staff sponsor and a member of the Dallas Institute Chapter of Lions Club International.
