I was born and raised in Dallas but have also lived in Washington, DC, Philadelphia, PA and Houston, TX. I graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor of Science in Business and Public Administration with concentration in Accounting. My first career was with the Federal Government with a background in Accounting, Auditing and Tax (Guess which agency!). After retirement, I followed in my husband’s footsteps (a 50+ year licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer) and became a licensed Funeral Director (working in both an Independent Family owned and Corporate owned). I hope to be able to blend both of my backgrounds in this new and exciting role as a Registrar here at Dallas Institute!
