Hello, my name is Shenika Lewis and I was born and raised in Dallas, TX. I started my career in the banking industry in 1999 as a teller at Chase Bank and with hard work and dedication, I was promoted to lead teller/assistant branch manager. After spending 9 years in the banking industry, I wanted to switch careers and work as a case manager so, in 2008, I started at the Dallas Housing Authority as an office support specialist. During that first year, I decided I wanted to pursue my career in accounting, so I enrolled in the University of Phoenix. I was promoted to Occupancy Technician in 2011 after I received my Associates of Arts in Accounting, and, in 2013, I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Business/Accounting. I was finally given an opportunity to work in the accounting field as an accounting clerk at The Dallas Institute of Funeral Services in March of 2021.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing strategic games, watching suspense movies, and spending time with my family. My hobbies consist of bike riding, solving puzzles of any kind, and learning to braid hair.
