Sarah Mirabal received her Bachelors of Science in Justice Administration with a concentration in Forensic Anthropology from the University of Louisville. She went on to receive her Mortuary Science degree from Mid-America College of Funeral Service and then completed her Masters in Forensic Studies/Behavioral Analysis from Florida Gulf Coast University. She is licensed in Kentucky as a Funeral Director and Embalmer and has been employed with Pierce Mortuary Colleges since 2018.
Sarah is obsessed with the wonders of education. Education goes far beyond the learning of concepts. It is the critical thinking component, the communication, the different ideologies, that bring life to learning. She teaches Funeral Service Management, Funeral Ethics, Funeral Directing, and Professional Communications.
Sarah started in the funeral industry in 2008 in Louisville, Kentucky after a law based study abroad internship in Sydney, Australia. She has always had a fascination with science, behavior, and the human body. The mortuary world accompanied with her fascination for forensics lead her to sunny Florida where she met her husband. Post secondary college opportunities took them on adventures from Florida to Alabama, and eventually brought them to Kentucky where they enjoy sports, the outdoors, and are parents to three wonderful boys.
This life I get to live is fun, wild, and a true blessing.
