Michelle Davis joined the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in January of 2019. She is originally from Chicago, IL but spent several years living in Pembroke Pines, FL. She attended Governors State University in University Park, IL, where she obtained a B.A. with a concentration in Computer Science and Business Administration along with completing several graduate level business courses; University of Phoenix, where she obtained a M.Ed. in Adult Education and Distance Learning; Capella University, where she obtained a MS.Ed in Professional Studies in Education along with completing several graduate level business courses; and Northcentral University, where she obtained a Ph.D. in Educational Technology and eLearning.
In 1996, Michelle began teaching for Chicago Public Schools and over the years became an Office Assistant, Leasing Consultant, Corporate Trainer, Economic Self Sufficiency Specialist, Resource and Referral Counselor, Business Owner, Academic Advisor, and a Computer Business Specialist Instructor at a continuing education center where she discovered a love of working with adult learners. Soon after, in 2007 she began working with college students majoring in business, education and liberal arts. Michelle currently serves as a Faculty member at several institutions of higher learning that offer an online option of study.
Over the years she has taught a variety of classes including The Legal Environment of Business, Human Behavior in the Workplace, Business English, Introduction to Business & Entrepreneurship, Search Engine Optimization, Fundamentals of Programming, Internet Concepts, Adult Development & Life Assessment, Foundations of Adult Education and Training, Critical Issues in Adult Education and Training, and Critical Thinking. Realizing the importance of remaining current in her areas of expertise she attends conferences and is actively conducting research with the goal of publishing articles and writing books. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, and learning new languages.
