Bilingual Funeral Director (English / Spanish)
Schaudt Family Funeral Service is seeking a licensed Funeral Director who is fluent in English and Spanish. This role supports the families we serve by providing clear communication, respectful guidance, and dependable care during difficult times.
About the Role
You will work directly with families, clergy, and staff to plan and carry out funeral and memorial services. You will also serve as a key point of contact for Spanish-speaking families, helping ensure they feel understood, supported, and well cared for throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet with families to arrange funeral and memorial services
- Communicate clearly and compassionately in both English and Spanish
- Prepare and complete required documentation accurately and on time
- Coordinate services with clergy, cemeteries, and crematories
- Direct services, visitations, and graveside ceremonies
- Provide on-call support as part of a rotating schedule
- Maintain compliance with FTC Funeral Rule and Oklahoma Funeral Board regulations
- Uphold Schaudt’s standards for professionalism, dignity, and care
Qualifications
- Licensed Funeral Director (or eligible for licensure) in Oklahoma
- Fluent in both English and Spanish (spoken and written)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Calm, professional demeanor in high-emotion situations
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
